St. George/Zions

This lovely little post is about our trip to St. George but I thought I'd throw in a few extra cute little pics of the twins the day before we left......just a little treat... :)
The weather has been such a tease lately. It'll be nice and 70-ish one day and 6" of snow the next day. AHHHH!!!!!!! Enough already! Bring the sunshine! Bring the heat! We want to play outside! ............................anyway, on one of the nice days the boys were playing in the backyard doing 2 of the things that they do best. 1- being cute! 2- being boys. I couldn't help but take out the camera.
A corner of our backyard, uncut, un-pruned and unexplored..... Koen found it entertaining to put little flowers and other random items inside.
And here is Koen showing me the yellow flowers that he is storing away.
K- now we're in Zions on the bus to go hiking! This is absolutely one of my favorite places to go.
"Sassy" Reed and Raquel at the lower Emerald Pool.
Hiking this time around was slightly more difficult seeing how the boys continue to get bigger. At their last Dr. check up 1 week ago they both weighed 32 pounds and then add the weight of the packs and water bottles.....it's about 82 pounds.....j/k. Either way,I think it's safe to say that we both woke up the next morning a wee bit sore.
Barry and I playing the role of pack mules. Kael (my pack) & Koen (do I need to say) playing the role of sight see-ers/easy riders/and "little Pharaohs" as referenced by some fellow hikers as they bowed to them as we passed. Needless to say they got a lot of attention, especially going downhill, Kael would giggle and Koen would sing.
Koen being proper. He likes to act like an adult at times and walk around with his hands behind his back and make small talk. I LOVE IT!!
OK, so ever since I pulled out the swimming gear and Kael was fascinated with the goggles and now that their getting picky about what they wear, eat, watch.........EVERYTHING! He absolutely insisted on wearing goggles while hiking.........well, I wasn't about to argue.
At the upper pool considering taking a dip.
I bumbed this pic turned out blurry. It's hard to focus when they run at you but I had to post this pic for his expression.
Koen kept looking for squirrels. There were a few that would pop up on the rocks and get close, trying to take our snacks. Every time they saw one they would squeal "kitty!" By the time we left the upper pool they knew what squirrels were and pointed out every one they saw from then on.
Eating Spongebob crackers.
Uhhhhhhhh.......Reed
I love this pic of my beautiful husband and son. They absolutely love their daddy!
Kael talking with his mouth full of Spongebob crackers.
Packed up again and ready to go on.
Kael
Raquel and Reed being all cutesy cuddly on the rocks!
At the Lodge re hydrating and about the board the bus for another hike!
Koen with trouble a-brewing in that little noggin of his.
Kael passed out in daddy's pack. Didn't get to see the Narrows. Oh well, next time!
The opening of the Narrows.
Kael hanging out on the bus
Koen back at the condo walking to the clubhouse.
Boys love cars.
Pics out of order. Walking to the clubhouse to play for a bit.
Playing a little miniature golf.
Kael taking a whack at it.
The twins had more fun taking the balls after we would miss and put them in a hole and clap for us :)
Hole in 1!
Kael playing on the arcade game
Kael is proving to be quite the little athlete.
