"Something tells me it's all happening at the zoo..."

Labor Day weekend originally planned to go camping but decided to take the kids to the zoo instead since it temperatures were fore casted to drop over ten degrees and rain which is the last thing we wanted to encounter when at the property. It was fairly busy but we all had fun. Here is Koen getting first glimpses of a real monkey! They look a little different than in the cartoons, but the twins were still amazed!
Kael, Koen and Dallin watching some monkeys play.
Our monkeys watching the monkeys....hopefully not taking notes :)
Koen, Dallin and Hannah sizing up
We had a great time watching the penguins! We came at feeding time and the kids got to watch them dive through the water to get the fish.
Miss Hannah Banana!
Giraffes were pretty cool too!
There was a little baby giraffe that was following his mama around, he was so cute!
So I forgot my camera so all the zoo pics were taken with my phone. Not the best, but at least we have some fun pics to post!
At the reptile exhibit.
Watching the turtles swim around
At the elephant exhibit there is a big metal elephant that hums (sort of) and sneezes. The twins wouldn't go anywhere near it without plugging their ears.

Some big turtles in the Madagascar exhibit. The foosas there kept fighting with each other so they had to shut down the exhibit to separate them.
THE Spiderman himself!
Just hatched and the zoo let us take her home!
Playing around
Koen wanted to go on the monkey bars, especially after seeing his big sister crossing them. When Uncle Reed let him dangle a bit, Koen quickly decided he wasn't quite ready.
Just hanging out, throwing coins in the fountain, waiting for dad to bring Chuck the Truck around. We zoomed on home, ate a quick dinner and hurried off to the park to play Frisbee and play with Aunts, Uncles and cousins until well after bedtime!
