Happy Halloween!!

We had a VERY busy day. First we set off in search of the perfect pumpkins to carve and put on the porch. Every one of the kids ended up pulling their own wagon full of pumpkins. Aidan is off to a good start. The twins ride at first but when they see how much fun it was to pull and load....they were off on a mission.

We finally got them to sit for a few seconds to take a pic.

Back to the house for carving festivities. The kids drew the face on the pumpkin that they wanted and we did our best. We have Aidan's, Kael (he wanted moon eyes and a star nose) Koen, Hannah and Dallin's (the biggest one and he made sure we didn't forget).

While we were out searching for pumpkins apparently a wasps nest had broken through and got in the house. We were unaware of a nest since we moved in a week prior. There were over 40 wasps of which Uncle Reed had fun vacuuming up with the hose and watching them buzz around inside the vacuum. So while we were busy carving and doing other festive activities the men were outside for 2 hours entertaining themselves in wasp killing adventures. The method to their madness was to snap a wet towel at them and smack them out of the air while Reed sprays them with something that killed them. To sum it up, fun was had by all and laughter could be heard outside as well as in.

Trick-or-treat time! I wish I would have gotten better pics of costumes but I forgot my camera when we left for the night. We went to our old neighborhood in Provo since we knew our neighbors very well and missed them. So the pics of costumes are after a long night of treating around neighborhoods. I was a black cat of which my long, fancy, fake eyelashes fell off halfway through the night. I should have listened to the 6 yr old who apparently is a pro at putting on fake eyelashes and was giving me advise on how to do it.

Dallin, or should I say Optimus Dal!

The twins chose to be Incredibles of which they were excited and even wore their costumes to bed for a couple nights. But when it came time to actually wear them for their intended purposes, they would have no part in it. I even brought back up costumes of Spiderman, a Skeleton and a Pirate and they refused. So they trick-or-treated in their little skeleton t-shirts they wore earlier while pumpkin hunting so at least it was festive.
